December 2012 Dear Colleague, Welcome to the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) two-week Summer Institute on "Transcendentalism and Social Action in the Age of Emerson, Thoreau, and Fuller." The Summer Institute will be held in Concord, Massachusetts, from July 7-20, 2013. Full-time and adjunct faculty from colleges and universities in American History, American Literature, Philosophy, American Studies, Women's Studies, Religious Studies, Social Sciences (Sociology and Psychology), Expository Writing Programs, Interdisciplinary Humanities, and Environmental Studies are especially encouraged to submit an application. Three places in the Summer Institute are reserved for graduate students. (Should none apply, these spots will be given to full-time and adjunct faculty.) |
